Dr. Allie is originally from Washington State. She attended Washington State University in the Exercise Science program. It was during this time that she shadowed a chiropractor. While she was shadowing, she saw the circle of life completed when a patient came in with her children, and the chiropractor had seen the mom as an infant. Dr. Allie resonated with the fact that chiropractors are potentially with patients for the majority of their life. She loves that chiropractors focus on understanding a patient’s root cause and not superficial symptoms. There is no one adjustment that fits all patients.
Dr. Allie attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. In addition to getting her degree from Palmer, she joined the Troxell Intern Program, a Gonstead Chiropractic internship that provided guidance and countless hours of clinical experience under some of the best doctors in the world. Dr. Allie owes her proficiency as a Chiropractor to the Troxell Intern Program. She graduated from Palmer in 2020 as a Doctor of Chiropractic and moved to Altoona, Iowa to begin her career.
Dr. Allie spent 2.5 years working as an Associate Doctor in Altoona, IA. She experienced the impact that Chiropractic is capable of on the overall health of a community. While working at the clinic she saw steady growth, it became her dream to move back to Iowa City where she has extended family, to open her own office.
Dr. Allie is passionate about informing patients about specific, Gonstead Chiropractic care. She is an instructor through the Gonstead Methodology Institute and is pursuing a diploma in Chiropractic Philosophy to continue providing quality care to her patients.
Outside the office, you can typically find Dr. Allie spending time with her extended family, reading a good book, and being the best Cat Mom to Luna. She enjoys exploring local restaurants (especially Mexican!), bonus points if they have outdoor patios.
